60th Grammy Award Rock Winners

The National took home the Best Alternative Music Album Grammy, beating out Arcade Fire, Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, and Father John Misty. Sleep Well Beast, the band’s first album in four years, earned the Dessner twins and co. their very first Grammy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

LCD Soundsystem have won Best Dance Recording at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards this year. The song “Tonite” from the band’s 2017 album American Dream won over singles from Gorillaz, Bonobo, Odesza, and CamelPhat & Elderbrook. This is the first Grammy for LCD Soundsystem. The band was also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for their album American Dream.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In a stacked category, the War On Drugs have come out victorious: A Deeper Understanding has won the Grammy for Best Rock Album. The War On Drugs were nominated alongside Mastodon‘s Emperor Of Sand, Metallica‘s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, Nothing More‘s The Stories We Tell Ourselves and Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Villains.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mastodon has come out victorious: The band won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance for “Sultan’s Curse.” Mastodon was nominated alongside August Burns Red‘s “Invisible Enemy,” Body Count‘s “Black Hoodie,” Code Orange‘s “Forever” and Meshuggah‘s “Clockworks.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Leonard Cohen has won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance for “You Want It Darker.” Cohen was nominated alongside Chris Cornell‘s “The Promise,” Foo Fighters‘ “Run,” Kaleo‘s “No Good” and Nothing More‘s “Go To War.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Foo Fighters have come out victorious: The band has won the Grammy for Best Rock Song for “Run.” Foo Fighters were nominated alongside Metallica‘s “Atlas, Rise!,” K.Flay‘s “Blood In The Cut,” Nothing More‘s “Go To War” and Avenged Sevenfold‘s “The Stage.”
